NUIG BC travelled to Amsterdam March 10th to compete in the 2019 Heineken Roiverkemp on the Amstel. The two-day event started on the Saturday with an unfortunate situation which saw the first race being cancelled, instead the committee running rescheduled the event by having the 750m piece on day 1 and 2500m and 250m piece on the Sunday which saw four NUIG eights competing, two men's eights and two women's eights.
All four had great racing experience especially for the novice men's and women's eights getting good racing experience in some tricky conditions. All attention now looks forward to the University Championships taking part on April 13 which will be the first domestic regatta of the season for all crews.
